We love food – all sorts of fare. Words like “vegan” “raw” and “macrobiotic” sounded scary to us until… until recently. Hearing about Cafe Gratitude twice in two days and being mere blocks away after my first ever acupuncture appointment (more to come on that), it just all seemed like the right moment to investigate the fuss.

I have read about Cafe Gratitude on so. many. blogs. and other websites before, so it was at the top of my list of healthy eats to check out while in LA. About 50% of their menu are raw food dishes, and the 50% that have cooked food are based in whole grains. I went there for lunch on a Saturday, and it was definitely bustling with people, but just barely not packed enough to make us have to wait.

What a gem of a place – seriously. There should be one on every block. It’s THAT good. The food is delicious. The crowd is nothing short of inspired. You leave feeling like you’ve mysteriously done ‘good’ in the hour you spent there. No, I’m not exaggerating.
Cafe Gratitude is a Vegan Restaurant that offers a full variety of both raw and cooked plant based meals.
